Stephanie Squadrito

Say hello to Stephanie

Here we feature a different woman in the Brow Confidence community and ask her about her first brow experiences, the lessons she’s learned, and her top brow tips.

Meet BC woman Stephanie Squadrito, a Social Media Strategist who learns to be in control of her bushy brows.

Name: Stephanie Squadrito
Age: 26
Occupation: Social Media Strategist

1. Tell us about your first brow grooming experience?

I started getting my eyebrows waxed by a local beautician around the age of 14. Luckily she respected my naturally full brows and didn’t strip them within an inch of themselves like I know happens so often. I went religiously to her every three weeks because my brows grew so fast and bushy, and I had no idea how to groom them myself.

2. What is your current brow routine?

I now visit Lien every 8-10 weeks so she can work her magic. I always leave feeling like I’ve just had a facelift. In between appointments I pluck them myself and have just started trimming too. To style, I simply use soap! It’s such a great technique that Lien taught me. I also like the Surratt Brow Pomade, it’s great to keep in my bag to tame my unruly brows on the go. I never fill in my brows or do anything else, just some highlight on the brow bone and I’m good to go.

“Lien gave me the confidence to maintain them myself and just see her to keep consistency (and for great conversation!).”

3. What does brow confidence mean to you?

It means feeling in control over them! I used to feel like I was a slave to those frequent salon visits and just had no idea how to tame these bushy caterpillars above my eyes. Lien gave me the confidence to maintain them myself and just see her to keep consistency (and for great conversation!).

4. How did you find out about Lien?

I was always complaining to the girls in my office about my brows being unruly. My boss at the time, Alison Rice, recommended Lien to me as she had been going to her for years. I put off reaching out because I was in a committed relationship with my regular beautician, but eventually, I did and I’m so glad. I’ll never forget my first phone consultation with Lien after I sent her a picture of my brows, and she told me, “Hun, you don’t even realise how uneven your brows are.” I think I fell in love right there and then. I needed that kind of honesty! I booked my first appointment for that weekend (at 6 am on a Sunday, because I was that desperate to get in), and was really impressed by how Lien measured my brows and clearly took her time to assess the best brow shape for me personally before going in with the tweezers.

“Every time I visit I have more questions and she’s always happy to share her expertise.”

5. Biggest lesson you’ve taken away?

Just how to maintain them in general. Every time I visit I have more questions and she’s always happy to share her expertise.

6. Describe your brows in three words:

Lots of hair.

Brow Confidence is about building a community of women that want a better future for their brows.
