5 Products You Need to Become Your Own Brow Artist
Doing your brows at home doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. In fact, you only need a handful of products in your kit to become your own brow artist.
Below, find a handy shopping list of products I’d recommend to anyone interested in shaping and styling their brows at home.
1. Tweezers
Tweezers are the most important tool in your kit. Opt for good quality tweezers with a slanted tip. My pick is the Tweezerman Stainless Steel Slant Tweezer.
2. Brow Pencil
A brow pencil is a versatile makeup product that everyone needs in their kit. From filling in gaps to making your brows more defined, it’s a must-have. Try the MECCA MAX Brow Guru Micro-Matic Pencil in Fair, Dark, or Black.
3. Brow Mascara
A good brow mascara is a great styling product. Simply brush it through your brows to thicken, darken, define, and tame your brow hairs. My go-to is Kosas Air Brow Fluff & Hold Treatment Gel in Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Brown Black, or Black, or for dark, dense brows try Benefit Cosmetics 24-Hour Brow Setter Invisible Brow Gel.
4. Concealer
A small amount of concealer around your brow outline can instantly erase any unwanted mistakes and defines its shape - giving your brows that ‘wow’ factor. Make sure you blend the concealer for a seamless result. I recommend the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in SC-2, SC-3 & SC-5.
5. Brush
To apply the concealer, a synthetic brush (small to medium size) is ideal. Here, you don’t actually need a fancy makeup brush – a flat and inexpensive paintbrush will do the trick. I use the Jasart Gold Synthetic Short Flat Brush in sizes 4 & 8.
