Clare Morrison

Say hello to Clare

Here we feature a different woman in the Brow Confidence community and ask her about her first brow experiences, the lessons she’s learned, and her top brow tips.

Meet BC woman Claire Morrison, a mother of 4 who loves her fluffy, defined and cherished brows.

Name: Clare Morrison
Age: 41
Occupation: On leave from primary teaching to be Mum to four incredible human beings

1. Tell us about your first brow grooming experience?

One of my friends plucked my eyebrows for me when I was in Year 12. Luckily I came out of the ’90s relatively unscathed – although I have had my fair share of uneven unfortunate waxing experiences.

2. What is your current brow routine?

I brush them up with a spoolie, apply Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Smoke to define where needed and apply a little of the Maybelline Brow Mascara in Dark Brown just at the head of my brows to catch those fluffy fine hairs.

If I’m feeling fancy and have more time (rarely!), I define them using Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage in SC 03 and use a spoolie with Soapbrows and the Mac Shape & Shade in Fling.

“Meeting Lien was like an instant connection. What a special person she is!”

3. What does brow confidence mean to you?

It means effortlessly groomed brows that frame the face, define your eyes and make you feel instantly put together.

4. How did you find out about Lien?

I met Lien after Zoë Foster Blake announced on Instagram that she was coming to Melbourne. I had just downloaded Lien’s e-Book and was trying (failing) to resuscitate my brows myself after much neglect and the occasional disappointing eyebrow wax. It was a time in my life when I had little time for beauty appointments as I juggled all the demands of life as Mum to a five-year-old, three-year-old, and one-year-old twins.

I immediately sent Lien an email and I think she took pity on me. Somehow after much negotiation of appointment availability and schedules, I snuck away for a day of self-care in Melbourne. Meeting Lien was like an instant connection. What a special person she is! Five years on I look forward to our appointments every eight weeks or so as a treat – like a refresh button and reconnection with myself, and a catch up with a friend.

“Softly defined eyes and brows always help me feel polished.”

5. Biggest lesson you’ve taken away?

Brows are important! If you have the perfect shape for your face they frame everything and give you such a face lift! Softly defined eyes and brows always help me feel polished.

6. Describe your brows in three words:

Fluffy, defined, and cherished.

Brow Confidence is about building a community of women that want a better future for their brows.
